I'm Glad You Are Here
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been deeply passionate about supporting children and families, especially as they navigate the complexity of grief and loss. At Luminescence Creative Counselling, I offer a gentle landing space where parents, children, and entire family systems can feel comforted, witnessed, and held as they move through change.
My approach blends nearly 20 years of specialized training in family systems, art therapy, play-based therapy, and grief work, allowing me to meet each person exactly where they are with the tools and support they need. Through art, creativity, and expressive practices, I help families process grief in ways that feel natural, accessible, and deeply personal—especially when words aren’t enough.
My hope is that families leave feeling less alone, more confident, and more connected to themselves and one another. At the heart of my work is a belief in the quiet, steady possibility that things can feel better, and that with the right support, families can find space to honour their story and learn to live with their loss in meaningful, healing ways.
Approach
Using an integrative approach, I draw from several modalities to attend to each child and family's unique goals and needs including Art Therapy, Play-Based Therapy, Mindfulness, Somatic (Body Focused) Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I envelop a Trauma-Informed, Developmental, Family-Systems and Attachment Frameworks to help me be more attune to each child and family's experiences.
