I'm Glad You Are Here
At Luminescence Creative Counselling, I offer a gentle landing space where adults, parents, children, and entire family systems can feel comforted, witnessed, and held as they move through change.
My approach blends nearly 20 years of specialized training in family systems, child and family therapy, and grief work, allowing me to meet each person exactly where they are with the tools and support they need. Through art, creativity, and expressive practices, I help process and adjust to change in ways that feel natural, accessible, and deeply personal—especially when words aren’t enough.
My hope is that you leave feeling less alone, more confident, and more connected to yourself and one another. At the heart of my work is a belief in the quiet, steady possibility that things can feel better, and that with the right support, to honour your story, continue to hold hope and and find joy in meaningful, healing ways.
Approach
I draw from several modalities to attend to each person's unique goals and needs. Integrating Art Therapy, Play-Based Therapy, Mindfulness, Body Focused approaches and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy all while being informed by Strengths-Based, Family-Systems, Developmental and Trauma-Informed frameworks, allows me to be better attune to the resiliency and challenges when life is feeling unsteady.
The expressive arts in therapy, offer opportunities for play, experimentation, master, and expressing thoughts and feelings that might be hard to express. For children, it is times of art and play that can bring a sense of normalcy and an help as an anchor during times of significant change and uncertainty.
